Stewart Thompson – Pastor of Counseling/Care

Stewart is the proud husband of Tammy Thompson and a father of three children. The
Thompson’s have been at Church of the Savior for eight years and call it their home.
Stewart grew up in Sugar Grove, Pennsylvania a small farming community. He is one of
six children born to a loving Christian family. Stewart began his ministry
in 1991, received his ordination in 1997 as a Deacon of the Free Methodist church.
Stewart has been active in ministry for nineteen years,

Stewart is a graduate of Asbury College (university) and will complete a Masters in
Counseling in May from Asbury Theological Seminary. In June of 2008 Stewart joined
the COS staff as their Pastor of counseling and pastoral care. He is gifted at counseling,
discipleship, pastoral ministry, compassion and brings to COS a lifelong passion for
those who are lost, ostracized, broken of spirit and in need the transforming work of
God. There is no greater joy then watching God transform the lives of his children who
are open and seeking him. His duties include counseling, developing and running our
recovery ministries, organizing pastoral care, and interim oversight of our youth ministry.
