Serve

Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord...   I Corinthians 12:4-5

God has given each of us gifts and invited us to be a part of what He is doing at Church of the Savior, in Central Kentucky, and around the world.

Levite Praise Team
The mission of the Levite Praise Team is to lead others in authentic worship of God. The Levites lead Sunday morning worship in the Worship Center. We have opportunities for musicians to serve on one of our eight teams. Please complete the Next Step form for audition information.

Levite Tech Team
The Levite Tech Team helps create an environment of worship for our local and online church family. We have opportunities to serve in audio, lighting, video projection, broadcast, and video production. No prior experience needed! We offer training for anyone interested in serving with us. Our team strives for excellence without putting technology and performance before the work of the Holy Spirit.

Stage Set Team
We have a unique role in helping people encounter Jesus. Our goal is to create a stage environment that draws people into worship visually.  We change the stage set four to five times a year. If you have creative, artistic, and/or craftsmanship gifts or simply a desire to serve, then we'd love to talk to you about our team.

First Impressions Team
First Impressions Team (FIT) include Greeters, Ushers and Guest Services. We provide servers to welcome people, pass out bulletins, assist in finding seats or with computer check-in, and answer questions. Servers sign up for one service one Sunday a month, basically 12 times a year. At this time we especially need people to serve for the 11:00 service. Our teams also serve for special events, such as the Christmas Celebration and Good Friday service.

Culinary Team
COS is blessed to have its own Culinary Team and professional kitchen. Due to some recent personnel changes, we are in need of volunteers with culinary talents to revitalize our team and prepare for future events. If you have skills in preparing meals for large groups, a desire to serve others by baking or cooking, or assisting with serving, set up/clean up, please join our team.

COS Kids Nursery
COS Nursery and Preschool provides a secure, nurturing environment for infants, toddlers and preschoolers where Biblical truths are taught as a foundation for salvation and Christian living.  Children participate in Bible lessons, prayer, and songs to introduce Jesus at their level and have fun! We have opportunities during Sunday morning services, as well as Wednesday evenings.

COS Kids Elementary
COS Kids serves as a place where children learn to pray, hear foundational Bible stories and learn simple Biblical truths. We want to partner with and equip parents to raise children who grow in Christ and spiritual maturity. On Sunday mornings our K-5 students gather in the Student Center for engaging worship, scripture-based lessons, prayer, fun activities, and games! Ministry continues in small groups, where we have opportunities for adults to serve as teachers or assistants. We also have opportunities for serving on Wednesday evenings as our K-2 students experience foundational Bible teaching through activities, songs, and games in a small group setting.

Royal Rangers
The Royal Rangers program in an activity-based, small group church ministry for boys and young men in grades K-12. Our mission is to evangelize, equip and empower the next generation of Christlike men and lifelong servant leaders. We provide Christlike character formation and servant leadership development for boys and young men in a highly relational and fun environment. We are looking for men who desire to invest in the next generation.

Redeemed Student Ministry
Redeemed Student Ministry is the youth group at COS for students in grades 6 – 12. Students must be at least 11 years old coming into youth. Our main gathering is on Sunday nights from 6:00 – 8:00 PM; adult leaders come in at 5:00 PM to discuss plans for the night. On a typical night of youth group you can expect fun games, pure worship, a message, and small groups. A meal is currently provided on the second Sunday of each month. Wednesdays are a little different with a few more opportunities for discipleship from 6:30 – 8:00 PM. If you’re looking to help this generation of youth grow in Christ, we’d love to discuss with you how that could look like here at COS.
