WHAT TO EXPECT
Whether you're completely new to church or just haven't been for a while, we'd love to see you. At Church of the Savior you can expect a friendly welcome, a dynamic service, and relevant teaching.
What are services like?
Each service is typically 75 minutes with a time of worship, Bible-based teaching, communion and prayer. Our worship is designed to help you connect with God. We work hard to minimize the distractions so that you can focus on praising Him. In addition, our pastor teaches from the Bible every week, often verse by verse, so that you can understand God’s truth in a relevant and deep way. Finally, we believe that prayer is foundational to who we are and an integral part of our worship experience, so you are invited to pray at our Prayer Station in the Worship Center at any time during the service.
What is available for my kids?
We love kids at Church of the Savior and offer age-appropriate environments where your kids (birth – 5th grade) will learn about Jesus and the Bible on their level. We have excellent children's and nursery workers who have passed all the necessary background requirements. We would love for you check your children into COS Kids so they can enjoy a service tailored specifically for their age group. However, if you'd prefer, your kids are welcome to attend service with you.
Middle school and high school students are invited to join us in the worship service on Sunday mornings and can get even more connected through our Redeemed Student Ministry. Redeemed meets on Sunday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, and Equip The Youth (ETY) meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 PM.
What should I wear?
We really want you to come as you are. Many of us wear casual clothes at our services, although some of us dress up. We'd like to think you will be as comfortable in a T-shirt and jeans as you would be in a business suit.
What should I do when I arrive?
We know that coming to a new church for the first time can be intimidating. We would love for you to stop by our Guest Services area when you arrive to ask any questions about who we are, to register your kids for our fantastic COS Kids program, or to meet someone who will help you find the coffee. We want you to feel welcomed…but even more than that we hope that you will feel at home.
