Grace Marriage
Marriage is meant for MORE!!! A marriage that is under grace and the direction of the Lord is one that is more than we could ask or imagine on our wedding day.
Two people full of life equals LOTS of life and a marriage that is abundant in communication, connection, intimacy, and joy.
Grace Marriage is an exciting ministry designed to enrich, protect, and grow your marriage. Using Biblical, grace-based materials you will have time to talk with your spouse and explore ways to enrich your relationship. Our marriage ministry is an intentional commitment to grow in your relationship with each other and the Lord.
Husbands and wives meet with other couples in various stages of life to explore different aspects of marriage. The sessions are called marriage coaching. Marriage coaching is an intentional and proactive approach to re-focus on positives in your relationship. Marriage coaching is not a lecture. It is not marriage counseling or group therapy. It is not a place where you will be forced to share your deepest secrets. Quite simply, it is a Biblically-based marriage maintenance model that can revolutionize your relationship. Couples in their 20s to couples in their 80s are involved in Grace Marriage groups and have been greatly blessed by participating!
Cost: $113/couple includes remaining 3 sessions plus snacks and marriage workbooks
Who can attend?
Any married couple may attend. Couples of all ages have been blessed by participating in Grace Marriage. A couple does not have to be a member of our church to participate. Engaged and dating couples are also welcome. Past participants are invited to continue since Grace Marriage session are new every year.
When are the sessions held?
Remaining 2024 dates are August 31, and November 16. The fourth session will be in February 2025 (date TBD). Sessions will be held at Church of the Savior from 8:30 AM – 12:15 PM. Snacks and marriage workbooks are included.
Who will we be with?
You will be in a group with your spouse as well as other couples who want their marriage to grow. Ten couples, plus a trained facilitator couple, will walk through the day’s material together. Spouses will have personal time together throughout the day to privately discuss the topics addressed. Groups will have mixed ages. Newly marrieds as well as couples who have been married for decades will be involved. Remember, Grace Marriage is about spending time with your spouse, not about being with close friends. Although you will get to know others in your group better, the purpose is to spend time with your husband/wife and focus on your marriage.
What about childcare?
Childcare will not be available at COS. Grace Marriage coaching sessions last about 4 hours. That is a long time for children to be at the church building, even if they have activities. We believe that most children would be happier in their own home or with family/friends they know. We also want to give couples freedom to focus on each other without feeling the need to check on the kids if they are just down the hallway. For these reasons childcare will not be offered. Consider the coaching days as an extended date – time for just the two of you.
What does it cost?
What does a normal date night cost if you go out to eat and see a movie, or if you go to a ballgame or concert? $75? $100? More? The cost for two days of marriage coaching, including all materials and snacks is just $113 per couple for remaining 3 sessions. That is less than 50 cents a day for the year. We encourage you to consider your participation fee as an investment in your marriage. What a great Christmas, birthday, or anniversary gift.

How do we pay?
The easiest way is to pay online when you register. If you prefer to pay with cash or check, choose the "Pay Later" option when you register online. Then, bring payment to the first Grace Marriage session. Please makes checks payable to Church of the Savior.
If you need to make other arrangements, please contact Bill Rieser. We don't want cost to be the reason you don't participate in Grace Marriage.
