Discipleship

All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer. Acts 2:42 NLT
This summer we want to challenge our church family to pursue intentional Christian community like the early church by building relationships, sharing meals, and spending time in the Bible and in prayer together. There are many ways to build community! Here are some ways you can make this an Acts 2:42 Summer!
Summer Home Groups
In June, we invite you to gather weekly in a group of 6 to 8 and share a meal. You can meet in someone’s home, at a restaurant, or even in a local park. Do a potluck or have everyone bring their own picnic. It doesn’t have to be complicated!

PRAYER PARTNER
Everyone is encouraged to find a friend to join you for prayer during the summer. Or better yet, use this opportunity to get to know someone new! You can get together to pray or call one another and pray over the phone. Pray for each other. Pray for our church, your family and neighbors, our community, and our nation.
July Discipleship
On Wednesday nights in July, we will meet as a church-wide group for worship and Bible study from 6:30 - 7:45 PM in the Worship Center. Each week two different speakers will teach on how we can grow in our relationship and intimacy with Jesus through quiet time and daily devotions. Afterwards we will have a time of fellowship and snacks.
Childcare will be available for kids in PreK and younger. Please CLICK HERE to register yourself and your kids.

Discipleship Mission
Encounter Jesus: Come and See
John 4:26-30
Seekers, those wanting to know more about Jesus, learning who Jesus is, discovering what Jesus did, making a decision to follow Jesus, baptism, beginning new life with Christ
Live as a Disciple: Follow Me
Mark 1:17-20, 2:14
Learning what it means to follow Jesus and to live as a disciple. Learning to abide and dwell with Christ. Growing in Christlikeness. Acquiring spiritual disciplines. Reading/understanding, living by, and following God’s Word. Praying: talking to God and listening to God’ voice. Walking daily with Jesus. Living a life of full surrender and immediate obedience through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Make Disciples: Go and Tell
Matthew 28:18-20
Disciples go and make disciples by telling others about Jesus and teaching how to follow Him. Our mission is to reproduce this process over and over with disciples making disciples.
Discipleship Pathway
Overall, true Biblical disciple-making encompasses the entire process of engaging the seeker, winning the lost, growing the believer, equipping the worker, and sending out the multiplier. It is relational, intentional, and missional. This process is most effective within the context of community, including small groups, home groups, and mentorships, where individuals intentionally walk alongside each other showing how to be a disciple of Jesus. This is our ultimate goal and continuous priority.
