LARRY COCHRAN

Founder, Generational Missions

Larry Cochran graduated from Georgia Southwestern College in 1969 and then served five years in the United States Army. While stationed in the Panama Canal Zone, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and soon answered the call to ministry and missions. He graduated from Asbury Theological Seminary in 1977 with an MDiv and served eight years as a pastor in Somerset, KY, before joining Missionary World Service and Evangelism (GO InterNational) as a traveling evangelist.

In 1986, Larry was elected president of GO InterNational and served in that role for 21 years. He then served 14 years as Director of Latin America Ministries, traveling extensively throughout the region and assisting church-planting efforts in five countries.

Larry retired in 2020 but soon returned to ministry alongside his grandson, Elijah Cochran, founding Generational Missions. Today, their ministry assists church-planting efforts in the Amazon of Peru and feeding evangelism efforts in five countries.

Larry and his wife, Jenny, have been married for 57 years. They enjoy spending time with their three children, nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, all of whom live nearby in Wilmore, KY.

Come meet our Global Partners, sample ethnic finger foods, and celebrate cultures from around the world at our Family Marketplace Bazaar. Students in K-5 will be issued a passport to collect stamps as they explore the marketplace with their parents. Plus, there will be interactive activities for kids and adults: sharing the Gospel with circles, praying for the nations, an imaginary plane ride, and exploring Japanese culture. Childcare is available for kids PreK and younger.

SATURDAY, OCTOber 24
5:00 - 8:00  PM

Enjoy a delicious dinner while listening to some of our Global Partners and keynote speaker, Larry Cochran. We will also hear from several COS people who recently participated in a short-term missions trip. Come celebrate all God is doing through COS Missions! Students in grades K to 5 will have their own dinner and activities, including a shoebox packing party, in the Student Center starting at 5:00 PM. Children PreK and younger will eat with their parents and then go to childcare at 5:30 PM.

SUNDAY, OCTOber 25
9:00 & 11:00 am

Missions Conference will wrap up with Larry Cochran, speaking at both Sunday morning worship services. Our COS Kids will participate in a parade of nations and other activities with our Club 1040 friends. Preschool and Nursery classes will be available as usual.
