Prayer and Fasting

Praying by Name

Prayer should be our first priority, not just another spiritual discipline. First Timothy 2:1 commands us to pray for all people using four types of prayer: supplication for ourselves, general prayers for all situations, intercession for others, and thanksgiving for God's faithfulness. We're specifically called to pray for leaders because their decisions impact everyone. God desires all people to be saved, and prayer is the key that opens closed hearts. The BLESS method provides a practical framework: Begin with prayer, Listen to others, Eat with them, Serve them, and Share Jesus when the Spirit opens doors. Never give up on anyone—George Mueller prayed for one friend for over 63 years before seeing him saved.
