The enemy gains legal ground through patterns of disobedience and unforgiveness, creating strongholds that limit our spiritual progress. True freedom comes through genuine repentance—not just feeling sorry, but actually hating sin and turning away from it. Unforgiveness is particularly dangerous, acting like poison in our souls and giving darkness permission to operate. We must forgive others not because they deserve it, but because God commands it and it protects us from spiritual harm. By shutting these spiritual gates through repentance and forgiveness, we reclaim the ground the enemy has occupied and walk in the freedom Christ provides.
