Every believer has been given spiritual authority by Jesus Christ - not just pastors or super Christians, but everyone who follows Him. This authority means we can speak directly to the spiritual obstacles in our lives, commanding them to leave rather than just praying about them. Jesus demonstrated this when He cursed the fig tree and calmed the storm, showing us that we should speak to our mountains of fear, sickness, addiction, and other challenges with direct commands. The key is believing we have already received what we ask for and speaking in past tense faith rather than future hope.
